Barbara Guillen grew up in San Jose, California and graduated from the University of San Francisco with a M. Ed. 

Since 2020, Barbara has been writing and creating inspirational products including affirmation cards, journals, and her first book, The Always Faithful Prayer Devotional. She is the host and producer of The Something to Bless podcast, a top-rated show that has drawn listeners from all over the world. 

In 2021, after twelve years of working as a public school teacher, Barbara stepped out on faith to pursue a higher calling.

As an inspirational speaker, Barbara ignites and encourages women from every walk of life. Using her background and personal life experience,  Barbara is passionate about motivating others to realize their purpose and potential and to follow up by taking clear action. 

Growing up, Barbara dealt with various adversities such as being raised by a struggling single mom of 7, poverty, and domestic violence. Many of her younger memories include living in fear of an abusive stepdad, alcoholism on both sides of her family, and never having enough of anything. 

With her determination, Barbara graduated from high school (just barely!), got her first job at age 13, and eventually graduated from college with a Master's degree in Education. 

She is a wife, mother of three (six when you count her stepson/wife, and her new son in-law!), author, and entrepreneur who is on a mission to teach others to believe bigger, dream for more, and achieve their goals. 

Barbara resides in Oceanside, Ca. with her son and husband.
