Building Gratitude Daily

Gratitude changes EVERYTHING.

At least that's how I feel. 

Every morning, I sit still and write down what I am so grateful for. I also write down my gratitude for the things to come, as though they are already done. There's a special power in that. 

This one daily practice has elevated my internal gratitude in a way that's hard to fully express. I find myself thankful from the
 moment I awake until the very end of the day. A very grateFULL heart indeed. 

Even when things aren't going so great, this one practice has allowed me to focus  much more on the positive than the negative. 

How about you? Do you find yourself saying you're grateful but not really soaking up the richness of each day? No judgement here. I think many of us unintentionally go about our day without giving it too much thought. 

It is a practice worth beginning, though. Like with any other muscle, we can build our gratitude muscle every day by taking pause and noticing all the blessings in our life. 

For me, it's the little things like quiet mornings with God and coffee all the way to my family and the love we have for each other and everything in between. 

It's a darn good life when I sit long enough to take it all in.
